Jerry Barajas
Major: Marketing
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Jerry attended California State University, Northridge for his freshman and sophomore year. He completed his first internship in the fall of his sophomore year with mun2, a bilingual network branch of NBC. In the spring he interned for Allied Integrated Marketing, a marketing and publicity agency that represents all of the major movie studios. He decided to transfer to San Diego to branch out and experience a new city. Currently Jerry is interning for Allied Integrated Marketing in San Diego as the Paramount representative for USD, UCSD, and SDSU. He hopes to continue his intern experience by being part of the Padres Franchise in the spring.

Christian Carter
Major: Accounting
Christian Carter grew up in a small town located in the Central Valley of California where he was heavily involved with sports at a young age. He played baseball for 13 years and was also involved with organizations such as ASB and Link Crew at Redwood High School. After graduating high school he found his passion for Accounting and Real Estate through studying at Cuesta Community College, located in San Luis Obispo. Currently, Christian is a junior at San Diego State University where he is perusing his BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He also is pursuing his Real Estate Salesperson License and hopes to establish a part time career by spring of 2014. In the near future he plans to enroll in the BMAcc program in order to obtain his masters degree in accounting to enable himself to take the CPA exam and begin to further his success in business. Outside of his academics, Christian enjoys staying active by playing golf, being outdoors, and going to the gym.

Marshall Conrad
Major: Finance
Marshall was born in Burbank CA and grew up in Palos Verdes CA. While growing up, Marshall was involved playing several sports, but decided to stay with baseball when he got to high school. During his time there, he was also on the surf team for three years doing contests all around the southern california area. Also, he was actively involved in community service as his organization's public relations chair and received the President's Award from President Obama for his achievement of over 200 hours of community service in high school. Last summer, he did a sales internship in North Carolina where he was able to sell educational products and at the same time make an impact on children's education. Later that summer he came back home in the Los Angeles area finding work as a surf instructor as well as an internship shadowing a financial planner to see more areas of finance he's interested in pursuing. Marshall is a junior at San Diego State University majoring in finance. He is currently the community service chair for the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and the Activities Co-Chair for the Gamma Delta Pledge Class. He hopes to intern for Morgan Stanley this summer doing equity research, and work for the company after he graduates. He is also planning to study abroad in Melbourne, Australia next fall semester so he can surf and do an internship there as well. In his free time, Marshall enjoys traveling, anything beach related, hiking, music, and when he has the time and money, will start his watch collection he's always wanted to have.

Ryan Dils
Major: Finance
Born and raised in San Diego, Ryan grew up living an active lifestyle with a passion for tennis. He went to Canyon Crest Academy High School where he found his calling for business through his leadership roles on the tennis team and working for his father's company. As a third year Finance major at San Diego State, and a fiscal intern at the District Attorney's Office, Ryan hopes to master the structural aspects of running a business so that he can one day work for himself. He is the Co-Activites chair for Gamma Delta and really enjoys being responsible for strengthening the brotherhood within the pledge class. He hopes to travel after graduation and plans to eventually take over his father's roofing company after attending grad school. His interests outside of school include outdoor activities, personal fitness, playing tennis, and watching Breaking Bad.

Laurane Durand
Major: Marketing
Laurane Durand is a third year Marketing major. She was born and raised in France, where she grew up playing various sports. During high school, Laurane spent her junior year abroad at Holly Springs High School in North Carlina, where she was part of the Tennis and Lacrosse teams. She then attended Euromed Management for two years in Marseille, France, which has allowed her to pursue a dual-degree program with San Diego State University. At Euromed Management, Laurane was involved in the Humanitarian organization, whose purpose was to provide better education conditions for children in a small city in Senegal. Laurane had the opportunity to spend one month in Senegal with her organization. She has also worked as an Event Project Manager intern for a marketing agency in Paris, which organized promotional events for brands such Lipton, Coca-cola, Adidas, and more. She moved to San Diego during the summer of 2013. Upon graduation, Laurane wants to get her masters degree and hopes to work in the sport industry, as it has always been a passion for hers. Some of Laurane's hobbies include traveling, outdoor activities, watching television series, laughing and being with her friends and family.

Soriana Dupire
Major: Marketing
Soriana was born and raised in the South of France, Marseille. She started kayaking at a competitive level when she was 13 for 6 years and came in second in the French Championship. From this, she gained a results-oriented attitude that led her to rank in the top 3 of her business school in France. This allowed her to come study at San Diego State University in Fall 2013. Last semester, she interned at Pernod Ricard, co-leader in the Wines & Spirits sector, as an Assistant Area Manager in Marseille. Currently, she is a junior Marketing major enrolled in a dual-degree program along with Kedge Business School, her business school in France. Through the pledging process she hopes to get closer with the brothers and gain an American family, as well as developing her communication in English since it is her second language. If and when she crosses over, she is looking forward to know all the brothers and is really excited about the idea of mentoring littles. In the future, she hopes to get a Marketing internship in the food and beverage industry, and eventually to work as a product manager for a big food company such as Dannon, since food is her passion. In her free time, Soriana likes running, travelling, doing sport and eating.

Maggie Farrar
Major: Management
Maggie is a sophomore at San Diego State majoring in Business Management and double minoring in Economics and Recreation and Tourism Management. She grew up in Riverside, CA where she attended Riverisde Poly High School. Having an extensive music background, she joined the marching band her freshman year as part of the drumline. She spent all four years of high school extremely involved in the marching band holding positions such as Vice President and Drum Captain. She was also a board member throughout high school in the Rotary Interact Club doing continuous community service. Being raised in a family who loves to give back really gave Maggie her passion for community service and being a life-time member of Girl Scouts of America has helped her constantly give back to the community. Over this past summer she held a position as a camp counselor through the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council where she learned her love of working with children and working outdoors. She hopes to one day work in the National Parks Service and become a Superintendent of a national park. To reach her goals, she decided to rush the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and is currently a member of the Gamma Delta Pledge Class. If and when she becomes an active Brother, she would love to give back to the Fraternity as a Big Brother, Brotherhood Chair or Vice President of Community Service. Outside of her hectic school schedule, Maggie loves being with her family and friends, staying active, hiking, going to the beach, and anything else that brings her outside. She also loves traveling to new places, the television show F.R.I.E.N.D.S, and has an obsession with HGTV.

Mariella Frias

Mariella Frias is a sophomore at SDSU, studying Spanish and Business with an emphasis in Marketing. She grew up in Mexico and went to Vincent Memorial Catholic High School in Calexico, California. She was Co-captain of her soccer team in high school and helped co-found the Entrepreneur Club at her high school as well. Because she really enjoyed being active she also danced ballet for 11 years. It was during her employment at Vector Marketing Corporation that she decided to major in Marketing. Later she decided to work at Victoria's Secret because she enjoyed being in sales. She is currently part of the marketing committee of the Hispanic Business Student Association and part of the American Marketing Association as well. She is fluent and spanish and enjoys hot yoga and hiking.
Joanna George
Major: Marketing
Joanna is a junior at SDSU, studying Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and is pledging Delta Sigma Pi with the Gamma Delta pledge class. She was born in Paris and grew-up in the South of France, on the Mediterranean Riviera. During two years, she attended Euromed Management, an international business school in Marseille. Joanna is half American and has grown-up coming to California every year, therefore transferring to SDSU was a natural choice for her. Last Spring, she interned at Hopscotch Broadcast, a public relations agency in Paris, where she was responsible for several different accounts such as TripAdvisor and Monster.com. She participated in implementing clients’ PR campaigns through television and radio, and made sure they were maintaining a decent image in the media. Joanna is very passionate about travelling, she absolutely loves discovering new cultures and exploring new places, and hopes to become fluent in Spanish. After graduation, she plans on staying in California and would like to become an event manager or a marketer in the tourism or food industry. In time, she would love to live and work in another country, possibly in South America or Europe. During her free time, she enjoys spending time on the beach, eating, being in nature and taking in all the simple pleasures that life has to offer.

Stephanie Hedger

Stephanie is originally from Northern California where she grew up in a small town with two younger brothers and the most supportive parents in the world. She is a junior International Business major with an emphasis in Spanish, Latin America, and marketing. Aside from pledging Delta Sigma Pi, she is involved in various organizations on campus including the International Business Society and the International Student Tutor-Mentor Program. Stephanie gained experience in the marketing arena this past summer through her internship in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she was the international market research intern for a small and growing biking tourism company called Biking Buenos Aires. While she loves being in San Diego, her true love and passion lies in discovering new cultures and exploring new countries. Her goal is to move to Latin America after graduation to work for a small company where she can utilize her past experience and knowledge gained abroad to positively contribute to an environmentally conscious business.

Max Holland

Max Holland is currently a Freshman majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. He was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and graduated from Frontier High School where he was on the tennis team and helped found a Chapter of the Dream Catchers organization. During his time on the tennis team he saw that there was demand for tennis equipment and co-found Tennisoutletcenter.com with his father. He also worked at the Bakersfield Racquet and helped manage Nike Tennis Camps and also hosted the Kern County Tennis Tournament. He currently holds the position of Co-Fundraising Chair for the Gamma Delta Pledge Class. He hopes to join the Lavin-Entrepreneur Program later in his career and SDSU as well as study abroad. After graduation he plans to start his own business in the automotive industry. In his free time, Max loves to ski, ride motorcycles, mountain bike, hike, and camp.
Megan Hyatt
Community Service Chair
Major: International Business
Megan is originally from a small town called Ridgecrest in the Mojave Desert area. In high school she played volleyball, basketball, and softball, posing as captain for softball. In addition she was the ASB Historian, the ElBurro Yearbook Photographer, and Key Club organization chair. After being very involved in various activities in high school, she graduated and continued her education at Cerro Coso College. There, she played College Basketball, worked at Hampton Inn and Suites as a front desk agent, became a Scwhinn Cycling Instructor, and a California Tutor for the Math and Sciences. After graduating from Cerro Coso College with Associate Degrees in Business Administration, Liberal Arts: Math and Science, Liberal Arts: Arts and humanities, Liberal Arts: Social and behavioral Sciences, and Honors; she continued her education at San Diego State University. Upon arriving at San Diego State, she jumped into many activities to continue to keep busy and have the full college experience, because with being a transfer you only have two years, and is a Pre-Major Finance major. Megan is a pledge with the Mu class of Delta Zeta as well as a pledge with the Gamma Delta class of Delta Sigma Pi. During the pledging process, she has decided to switch her major to Business Management and graduate in May of 2015. In the future after graduation, Megan plans to enter law school to become a Patent Attorney or Entertainment Attorney.

Jamie Javelona
Major: Management
Jamie is a freshman in San Diego State University studying business managament. He was born in the Philippines and moved to Hong Kong when he was four years old. He moved to the United States in July 2013, making it the third country he's lived in. One of Jamie's passions is writing. He took multiple writing classes in high school and earned the position of his high school magazine's editor his senior year. His interest in business stemmed from his dad, who is an active businessman and was running his own business at seventeen years old. Wanting to become involved in college early on, Jamie rushed Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, and is currently a part of the Gamma Delta Pledge Class. Although unsure of his goals in the long term, he wants to graduate in four years and hopes to have a stable job by then. Jamie loves to read, do watersports, watch movies, and try anything new that comes his way.
Evan Johnson

Born and rasied in the Bay Area of Northern California, Evan grew up embracing his passion for music by being involved in both band and choir programs. Sports also played a part in his life starting off with participating in a recreational league soccer in his younger days and moving on to cross country and track and field in high school. Throughout his time at California High School he worked part time with the Parks and Community Services program of his hometown of San Ramon as a Sports Recreation Leader and also juggled a part time postition with Target Corporation as a Team Member where he still works today. It was here, at what is commonly reffered to around his hometown as "Cal High," that he discovered his two favorite subjects, Business and Psychology. This discovery led him to San Diego State as a Sophamore Information Systems major and Industrial and Organizational Psychology minor. During his first semester at SDSU, Evan rushed and became a Founding Father of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) a social fraternity on campus in order to serve as a leading example of what fraternity men could and should present themselves as. Within his Gamma Delta pledge class of Delta Sigma Pi, Evan serves as Webmaster designing the pledge class website and facilitating cloud based file sharing in order to keep the pledge calss organized and informed. While looking to apply his knowledge and skills in the workforce Evan plans on involving himself with either the technology or aerospace industry as technology and aviation are two of his biggest passions. He is pursuing a position within Inforamation Systems with the goal of one day using his skills of business process software and workplace psychology to become a business consultant. In his free time he enjoys watching movies/tv shows, catching up with old friends, listening to classic rock/metal, and playing his alto saxophone.

Paul-Emmanuel Kata
Major: Finance
Paul-Emmanuel Kata is a native from Ivory Coast, a French-speaking country on the coasts of West Africa. He comes from a family of 7 children and was involved in competitive soccer and basketball in middle school. After obtaining his high school diploma in science, Paul-Emmanuel decided to move all by himself to the U.S in 2010 in order to learn english and study business administration. He is today bilingual in French and English and had been working as a private French tutor in Los Angeles County. In Los Angeles, Paul-Emmanuel also worked with the government funded No Child Left Behind program. In this program, He tutored math to numerous disadvantaged middle and high school students and helped make a difference in their life. Paul-Emmanuel attented Los Angeles city college, where he received multiple Dean's honor for having a 3.7- 3.8 GPA. He transferred to San Diego State University in the Fall of 2013, where he is currently studying to get a Bachelor in business Finance. He is currently pledging Delta Sigma Pi and hopes to become Vice- President of Professional Activities if he crosses over. After graduation, Paul-Emmanuel envisions to work as a financial analyst in a wireless company, such as AT&T, or in a financial firm that invests in startups or small companies in order to make them grow. As an aspiring entrepreneur, Paul-Emmanuel plans to open his own wireless company in his native Ivory Coast and expand it in the whole African continent. He is currently playing intramural soccer and enjoys watching movies and going out with friends. Paul-Emmanuel's dream is to travel all around the globe and to explore everything this world has to offer.

Trevor Lundeen

Trevor Lundeen was born and raised in the Bay Area with his little brother and sister. He attended a brand new local high school where he was a part of the first graduating class of Dougherty Valley High School in 2010. He left his mark there as a team captain and record holder on the Wildcat Swim Team and Water Polo Team. After graduation, Trevor attended Las Positas College, where he studied business administration. While balancing an average of 18 units of schoolwork, he was also working 30 hours a week as a Pool Manager for the City Of San Ramon, as well as 20 hours a week training with the Las Positas Hawks Swim Team. During his final year, he swam a 58.55 100 Breaststroke, broke multiple records, and earned his AS-T degree in Business Administration. He transferred to San Diego State University in the fall of 2013 and decided to pledge Delta Sigma Pi. He was elected Pledge Class President and has lead a team of 28 extremely intelligent individuals since. If he becomes an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, he would like to become the Vice President of Alumni Relations and eventually become the President of the Iota Pi chapter. After graduation, Trevor plans on working in his hometown of San Ramon for Chevron Corporation at their headquarters as a project manager, where he can put his communication, logic, and management skills to use. Once he settles down he would like to marry the woman of his dreams, have 3 children and snowboard every weekend.
Carissa Manikan

Carissa is a third year accounting major at San Diego State University. She has five siblings and comes from a very loving and close knit family. She started playing soccer when she was 7 years old and gained a true passion for that sport. She is originally from Chino Hills, California and attended Chino Hills High School. After graduating she attended Citrus Community College and was involved with the Citrus Business Association as Historian. She transferred to San Diego State for fall 2013 and currently involved in the Student Accounting Society as the Director of Membership and is Historian for the Gamma Delta Pledge class of Delta Sigma Pi. She hopes to study abroad next fall in Italy. Her future goals are to work for one of the big 4 accounting firms and travel the world. She enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and being around family and friends.
Kumbi Murinda

Kumbi was born in Zimbabwe and has lived across the U.S. most recently moving to San Diego. He is a junior transfer from the Inland Empire focusing on International Business Spanish and Latin America with an emphasis in marketing. Having already traveled to a few countries, Kumbi hopes to expand on his love for new experiences through traveling abroad to Latin America next year. As a member of the Men's Crew Team and an intramural soccer team, He likes to stay active and competitive whenever possible and loves to watch sports of any kind and is a fan of Cowboys, Seattle Supersonics, Chelsea Blues, and the 2013 NCAA Basketball National Champion Louisivlle Cardinals. Kumbi has co-founded a poetry club at his previous college and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. He hopes to combine his passions to become an international sports agent.
Ericka Odekirk

Ericka is in the middle of her third year at San Diego State University working towards a degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Real Estate. She grew up in a small city outside of Sacramento. She is an only child and extremely close to her loving family. Ericka chose Marketing for two aspects, she likes to get creative with projects and loves to learn about/appeal to people. As for Real Estate, Ericka has always held a strong interest for homes and property, and family business in investment real estate has also influenced her choice to minor in this intriguing field. This past summer, Ericka held a marketing internship with an athletic apparel company which combined her interests in fitness and fashion. Currently Ericka is the Secretary for Gamma Delta pledge class and hopes to hold more executive positions if and when she crosses over. Outside of school, Ericka's primary passion is fitness and nutrition. She gets great joy out of being active, cooking/baking new recipes, and exploring new places. She also finds pleasure in watching Mad Men where she fantasizes about being a part of the fast paced advertising industry. Her dream place to travel is Spain! She yearns to travel around the world to experience and understand all the amazing cultures out there!

Kimia Rahmati

Kimia Rahmati was born and raised in San Diego. She attended Torrey Pines High School and was a member of the Varsity Field Hockey team, Rotary Interact Club and National Honors Society. She attended Seattle University for two years and became well acclimated to student organizations on campus. As an Event Programmer for the Student Events & Activities Council, she was able to foster her love for event planning and enjoyed the creative freedom. Additionally, she worked as a Marketing Assistant for the university, designing advertisements, improving her photography skills, studying website analytics and writing for the annual Banner magazine. In Seattle, she discovered her passion for art, music, traveling, and most significantly, her addiction to coffee. Kimia is currently studying Integrated Marketing Communications at San Diego State and will be graduating Spring 2015. Her decision to transfer was based on her goal to establish her professional network in San Diego. As a member of the Gamma Delta Pledge Class of Delta Sigma Pi, she is excited to have been elected Social chair and is using her past experience to plan a memorable evening for the chapter. Natalie Richens
Major: Finance
Natalie is a third year Finance major. She grew up in Orange County where she attended Troy High School. There, she was a part of a Tech program which incorporated science based classes, such as robot programming, into her regular high school course load. Dance is a passion of hers, and she danced competively on the Troy Redhots, a nationally ranked team, for four years dancing on the large groups, smalls groups, and solo. Since coming to San Diego State, she has become involved in American Marketing Association and the Communication Board of Associated Students.Over this past summer she held an internship at Philadephia Insurance Company as a Marketing Intern. She currently works as a teammember at Jamba Juice and has been there for two years. If and when she becomes an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, she is looking forward to getting more involved in the Fraternity and getting to know all of the brothers. Outside of school and work, Natalie enjoys anything that takes her outdoors as well as traveling, cooking, and being with her family and friends.

Morgan Rumzie

Morgan Rumzie is a fourth year Management major with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. She grew up in Campbell California, where she played many sports including soccer, track, and skiing. In high school she was President of the Red Cross Club at Westmont high and played three years of Varsity soccer, and four years of Varsity track. In her second year at San Diego State she joined the SDSU Ski and Snowboard Club team, and is currently a captain of the team. In her junior year, Morgan had the opportunity to study abroad in Auckland, New Zealand, where she fell in love with traveling, meeting new people, and the outdoors. Morgan currently works as an academic tutor at the SDSU Athletic Center, and a finance intern at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. She hopes one day to pursue her passion of working in the action sports or outdoor sports industry, and hopes to own her own company in the industry. Outside of school and work, Morgan enjoys all outdoor activities, some of which include camping, hiking, running, skiing and snowboarding, and wakeboarding.

Benjamin Salem
Originally from San Francisco, California, Ben grew up with a passion for sports and business. His dad was a financial planner for Merrill Lynch which initially got him interested in the business world. He attended Redwood High School where he played on the golf team all four years and contributed to the team's two MCAL Championship wins in 2011 and 2012. He also was an active member of the Honor Society, Art Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. During the summer of his senior year he was a caddy for Meadow Club Golf Course, where he kept up course conditions through a variety of maintenance duties and made sure members were satisfied with the overall operations of the country club. Currently, Ben is a sophomore at San Diego State University majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. He hopes to add a minor in International Studies and wants to study abroad his junior year either in England or Europe. Also, he is in the process of pledging the professional business fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, and holds the Co-Finance Chair of his pledge class. His interests outside of school include golfing, working out, relaxing with friends and family, and watching Sportcenter and Breaking Bad.

Matt Shea
Grew up in Orange County and went to high school at Esperanza. He played water polo for nine years, swam for five, and ended his sports career with 5 years combined varsity experience and the title of first place in a national championship for water polo. Matt also got his Eagle Scout when he was 15 and built two 12" x 6" walls of cubbies for an elementary school for his Eagle project. While he was a Junior in high school, he was hired at In-N-Out Burger, where he currently works. He has been enjoying his time as Co-Fundraising Chair and hopes to carry the skills he has learned during the process over into the Fraternity. Upon graduation with a major in Marketing and minors in Microeconomics and Social and Behavioral Psychology, Matt hopes to be able to gain experience in the business world then open his own business. He also enjoys dabbling in the stock market, playing poker, guitar, going to the gym, beach, or any other random activities.

Born in Tokyo and raised in Los Angeles for twenty-one years, Ron grew up in a small town with an older brother. He went to La Cañada High School where he was active on the tennis team, marching and concert band, and volunteer programs. During his junior college years, he acquired an accounting internship at DHealthstore. Ron transferred to San Diego State University as a Finance major and was a part of the Asian Pacific Student Alliance, Finance and Investment Society, Entrepreneur Society, and Financial Planning Association. Last spring, he pledged for a social fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, and held the position as Treasurer in his pledge class while interning at Bair Financial Group as an administrative assistant. He plans on studying abroad to Australia next fall, expanding his horizons on a new culture while securing an internship. After he graduates, he wants to learn real estate investments as a hobby while working for a financial corporation. Several of his interests include playing tennis, working out, and learning as many things as possible. He loves watching television series and stand-up comedians and intends to broaden his movie history.
